At least that's what Sawyer Smith would like.
That's why the attorney has moved and renovated an office building on Broadway in what's become known as Midtown in Fort Myers. Smith has been working from the office for a few months, but he plans a grand opening May 30. Midtown is bounded by Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard to the north, Edison Avenue to the south, U.S. 41 to the west and Evans Avenue to the east.
The Wilbur Smith Law Firm made its name near Fort Myers' waterfront, but with the upcoming sale of the Bradford block, owned by the Smith family, that had to change.
"Midtown is a point of pride for me," Sawyer Smith said recently during an interview in his new offices. "My father started it. I had the opportunity to do something cool, to show the rest of the world it's worth being here."
